If your dog is still barking, lunging, or shutting down on walks…even after you’ve taken a class or tried training before—you’re not alone. A lot of dogs can “perform” in structured settings, but fall apart in real-world environments. That’s where most owners get stuck. This program is designed to bridge that gap.

Real-World Reactive Dog Training in Seattle
Our Approach
Reactive to Resilient is a private, four-week coaching program designed to help dogs move out of reactive patterns and into more regulated, thoughtful behavior.
This program focuses on real-life application—not controlled environments—so the progress you make carries over into your daily walks and routines.

You’ll learn how to understand your dog’s behavior, recognize early signs of escalation, and confidently guide them through situations that used to feel overwhelming.
Who This Program Is For
This program is designed for owners who:
Have a dog that barks, lunges, freezes, or shuts down around triggers Feel like their dog is unpredictable or difficult to handle on walks Have taken a training class but are still struggling in real-world situations Want to understand their dog, not just manage behavior
Core Outcomes
By the end of the program, you'll understand what's driving your dog's reactivity and recognize early signs of escalation. That knowledge shifts how you show up on walks. You'll respond with confidence instead of reactivity, and your dog will follow that lead. You'll see reduced intensity and frequency of reactive behavior, faster recovery after triggers, and more thoughtful responses. That's the actual outcome. It's not the dog learning obedience. It's the relationship changing because you changed how you're in it.
Program Structure
The program is built on a clear, four-week progression. Each phase builds on the previous one, creating lasting change rather than temporary management.
Week 1: Foundation & Observation
Focus: Clarity and understanding
Most reactive dog owners come to you guessing. They've labeled their dog "aggressive" or "anxious," but they don't actually know what's happening or why. Week 1 stops the guessing.
You'll identify:
The specific triggers and environments where reactivity happens The early signs your dog shows before full escalation How your dog's nervous system is communicating with you
You'll learn:
What your dog's threshold looks like in real situations The difference between fear, frustration, and overstimulation How to read your dog before they explode
Outcome: You stop guessing and start seeing. You understand not just what your dog does, but why they do it.
Week 2: Engagement & Communication
Focus: Connection and language
Now that you see what's happening, you need a way to guide it. Week 2 teaches you how to communicate with your dog in moments that matter, and how to build their ability to choose you even when triggers are present.
You'll develop:
A clear marker your dog understands and trusts A "let's go" cue that means something real to your dog Stronger engagement so your dog naturally orients back to you The ability to guide behavior before escalation happens
You'll practice:
Building connection through simple, repeatable exercises Creating a language between you and your dog that works reliably Starting to apply these tools in low-stress environments
Outcome: Your dog begins trusting you as a guide. You now have tools to communicate, and your dog has a reason to listen.
Week 3: The Walk & Real-World Mastery
Focus: Application and competence
We move everything onto the walk, where it actually matters. Your dog is learning to stay regulated while moving through real environments, and you're learning to read what's happening and adjust in real time.
You'll develop:
Better timing and handling during exposure Awareness of spacing, movement, and positioning The ability to navigate real-world scenarios with intention
Outcome: You now have the tools and confidence to handle situations that used to feel overwhelming. The walk becomes predictable because you know how to manage your dog's emotional state in motion.
Week 4: Independence & Trust
Focus: The relationship shifts
By Week 4, something fundamental changes. Your dog begins making better decisions with less input from you. You step back. The constant coaching fades. Your dog is now self-regulating, and you're trusting that regulation.
We focus on:
Reducing reliance on constant intervention Reinforcing thoughtful behavior in the moment Building consistency across different environments without your active management
Outcome: You and your dog move through the world with ease because the relationship has transformed. Your dog is making good choices independently, and you're confident enough to let them.
